HOLIDAY FUNDING
During this season of thanks, birth, joy and celebration, Brightest Horizons
Child Development Center, like so many of you, has much for which to be
grateful. We are blessed with wonderful children who are eager to learn and
grow. We are blessed with exceptional teachers who are eager to impart knowledge
and care for our children. We are blessed with caring families who recognize the
advantages of Brightest Horizons in their lives. And we are blessed with the
kindness and generosity of so many people and organizations in our community who
give of their time and resources to support Brightest Horizons' children and
mission.
As we approach the end of 2007, Brightest Horizons is especially in need of
charitable donations. Because of a required change in agencies that coordinates
subsidized care in Lee County, which has led to a longer waiting list than usual
and therefore less than currently full classrooms at Brightest Horizons, we are
experiencing a shortfall in revenues to cover our program expenses. Although we
are making significant adjustments to reduce expenses, many of our costs are
fixed. We also will not "short change" our children by reducing
programs or student-teacher ratios.
While we hope this backlog will improve and our classrooms will again be
full, Brightest Horizons is experiencing financial hardship and is requesting,
once again, your support. Brightest Horizons' friends have always been
wonderfully generous to our children and our programs. We are truly grateful for
this past support and hope that we can count on your future support as well!
