Several Ways of Supporting
Brightest Horizons Child Development Center
Brightest Horizons Child Care Development Center has expanded from a small
preschool program (ages 2-5 years), begun about 33 years ago to a Program
nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young
Children (NAEYC). We presently provide care and education for 163 children, ages
4 weeks to 12 years of age. Further, we have won the Gold Seal of Excellence from
the state of Florida and we were one of two programs chosen by the United Way of
Lee County to participate in their Success by Six Grant program emphasizing
early literacy and parental involvement. These highly effective program
components have been incorporated as a permanent part of our curriculum.
Because families can rely on Brightest Horizons to care for and educate their
children during the day, parents can work to support their families and expect a
steady improvement in their own success and that of their children. We do
receive state and federal funding, but I am sure you know that the history of
that support is one of steady shrinkage. Support of Brightest Horizons is a wise
investment for our supporters because as our families become more educated and
stable, and therefore more prosperous, the need for expensive tax programs to
support them is diminished, alleviating the tax burden for all of us.
Thank you in advance for your generous help.
