How Big and How Wide

I heard a speaker at a luncheon recently answer the question of why he gives as generously as he does to charity. His answer was first that he believes his job is to steward the good fortune that has come his way and pass it on to those who need it. Secondly, he said that when he "graduates", he wants to let those left behind know what his life was about and what he stood for.

This message resounds for me. If it means something to you as well and you would like to leave the same kind of a message to your world when you leave it, you might consider making a will bequest to Brightest Horizons. Your will is your last chance to make such a statement to those you leave behind that your heart and your vision encompassed far more than your own personal concerns, in fact that your heart was large and your vision wide.

If you already have a will, you don't need to redo it, you can just write a Codicil to your existing will. The language can be similar to the following:

"I, __________, of ________, ___________ hereby bequeath to Brightest Horizons Child Care Development Center the sum of $_____.00 to be used for its general purposes."

Or, "I __________ of ______________ hereby bequeath to Brightest Horizons Child Care Development Center ___% of the residue of my estate to be used for its general purposes."

Sincerely,

Dave Young, Director of Development
Brightest Horizons, 10320 Gladiolus Drive, P O Box 08072 Fort Myers, FL 33908
